Novel Insights into the Hydroxylation Behaviors of α-Quartz (101) Surface and its Effects on the Adsorption of Sodium Oleate

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption behavior and molecular mechanism of collector sodium oleate (NaOL) on a Ca2+-activated hydroxylated α-quartz surface was performed through experiments and density functional theory (DFT) simulations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adsorption mechanism of water molecules on hematite (1 0 4) surface and the hydration microstructure

TL;DR: In this paper, the adsorption mechanism of water molecules on hematite surface and the hydration microstructures were systematically investigated by means of FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron, and DFT calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interfacial microstructures and adsorption mechanisms of benzohydroxamic acid on Pb2+-activated cassiterite (1 1 0) surface

TL;DR: In this paper, the interfacial microstructures and adsorption mechanisms of benzohydroxamic acid (BHA) on Pb2+-activated cassiterite (1.1.0) surface were investigated by means of Raman spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectra, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, and density functional theory (DFT) calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flotation Behavior and Synergistic Mechanism of Benzohydroxamic Acid and Sodium Butyl-Xanthate as Combined Collectors for Malachite Beneficiation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors adopted different functional combination collectors to enhance the sulfuration flotation of malachite, and showed that the combined collectors of SBX with BHA possessed a higher recovery than only using SBH by 20%, indicating that there may be a synergistic effect between BHA and SBX.
