Journal ArticleDOI

Temperature-Programmed Reaction Spectroscopy of Ceria- and Cu/Ceria-Supported Oxide Catalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface reduction and oxidation of nanocrystalline CeO2 and CuO/CeO2 was investigated by temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) and isothermal/temperatureprogrammed oxidation (TPO) measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure evolution during rolling of inert-gas condensed palladium

TL;DR: In this article, during cold-rolling of nanocrystalline Pd consolidated from clusters, a strong increase in stacking fault density was observed, conclusive evidence for lattice dislocation activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Range of magnetic correlations in nanocrystalline soft magnets.

TL;DR: The results for l(C) indicate that in Co the main source of nonuniformity in the spin system is the anisotropy field of each individual crystallite, whereas in nanocrystalline Ni the main sources of spin disorder originate from twin faults or from the defect cores of grain boundaries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Grain-size-dependent Curie transition in nanocrystalline Gd: the influence of interface stress

TL;DR: The dependence of the Curie transition temperature T C on the average crystallite size of a nanocrystalline material has been studied experimentally in nanostructured Gd prepared by the inert-gas condensation method as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low temperature processing of dense nanocrystalline yttrium-doped cerium oxide ceramics

TL;DR: In this article, the starting material was synthesized by the direct homogeneous precipitation method using hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) and two alternative routes for consolidation into green bodies were employed: (i) centrifugal casting of an electrostatically stabilized colloidal solution and (ii) cold isostatic pressing of dried ceria powder.
