Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of 1,4-epimine compounds. Iodosobenzene diacetate, an efficient reagent for neutral nitrogen radical generation

TL;DR: In this paper photolysis of several nitroamines, cianamines, and phosphoroamidates in the presence of iodosobenzene diacetate (IBDA) and iodine leads to neutral aminyl radicals which undergo intramolecular hydrogen abstraction to produce epimine compounds with yields that are favorably compared with those obtained with the system lead tetraacetate and iodine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intramolecular functionalization of N-cyanamide radicals: synthesis of 1,4-and 1,5-N-cyanoepimino compounds

TL;DR: In this article, photolysis of 3β-methoxymethoxy-5α-cholestan-6β-ylcyanamide (6), 29methoxyfriedelan-3 β-yl-cyanamides (15), (22R,25R)-5α-, 5α-furostan-26-ylcyclic-cyclicamide (23), 8α,12-(12R/12S)-epoxylabdan-15-ylamides, (32) and (33)
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal rearrangement of allylic cyanamides

TL;DR: In this article, a formal method for the 1,3-isomerization of allylic amines has been proposed, based on pyrolysis in solution at temperatures between 125 and 190 degrees C. This rearrangement was also observed during the thermal opening of the aziridine ring in cyanoaziridines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intramolecular Functionalization of N-Cyanamide Radicals: Synthesis of 1,4- and 1,5-N-Cyanoepimino Compounds.

TL;DR: In this article, photolysis of 3β-methoxymethoxy-5α-cholestan-6β-ylcyanamide (6), 29methoxyfriedelan-3 β-yl-cyanamides (15), (22R,25R)-5α-, 5α-furostan-26-ylcyclic-cyclicamide (23), 8α,12-(12R/12S)-epoxylabdan-15-ylamides, (32) and (33)
