Journal ArticleDOI

Parton distributions: A New global analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a new analysis of parton distributions of the proton is presented, which incorporates a wide range of new data, an improved treatment of heavy flavours and a re-examination of prompt photon production.
Journal ArticleDOI

MRST2001: partons and $\alpha_S$ from precise deep inelastic scattering and Tevatron jet data

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used all the available new precise data for deep inelastic and related hard scattering processes to perform NLO global parton analyses and found a somewhat smaller gluon at low x than previous determinations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Parton distributions incorporating QED contributions

TL;DR: In this paper, a global parton analysis of deep inelastic and related hard-scattering data was performed, including the parton evolution of u and d type quarks.
Journal ArticleDOI

Uncertainties of predictions from parton distributions I : experimental errors.

TL;DR: In this article, the uncertainties on observables arising from the errors on the experimental data that are fitted in the global MRST2001 parton analysis were determined by diagonalizing the error matrix and producing sets of partons suitable for use within the framework of linear propagation of errors.
Journal ArticleDOI

NNLO global parton analysis

TL;DR: In this article, a NNLO (and a LO) global parton analysis was performed for the Tevatron high-ET jet data, and the results showed that the partons are changed by up to 10% at Q 2 = 10 GeV 2, in particular in the x < 0.01 regime.
