Preface
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors present a summary of their work and a preview of the full version of this article. Please use the Get access link above for information on how to access this content.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermo-tribological characteristics of polyester composites containing aluminium particles and network
TL;DR: In this article, an attempt is made to enhance the thermal conductivity and wear resistance of the polymer composite using the network reinforcement, and two different composite specimens were prepared with an equal quantity of reinforcement with different geometric form.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical prediction of influence of chain length on contact pressure distribution on polymer composite sprocket
TL;DR: In this paper , the interaction between a standard sprocket and a roller of an elongated chain was simulated under 2D planar conditions, where the angle between the first engaged and last engaged roller on the sprocket was divided in to 12 segments in the interval of 20°.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monotonic and cyclic behavior of polyamide 66/hectorite nanocomposites in marine environment:
TL;DR: In this paper, the importance of understanding property degradation due to prolonged exposure of advanced composite materials to simulated environmental conditions is highlighted, which triggers the need for product design for safe performance and operation in harsh environments.
Book ChapterDOI
Investigation on Elevated Temperature Tribological Performance of Alloy 718
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of temperature on the tribological performance of Alloy 718 is studied in double aged condition for reciprocating wear test with a ball on flat configurations, and the wear tests were conducted at two conditions viz: room temperature and 300 °C temperature.
