XAS study of actinide and lanthanide solvent extraction compounds—I. UO2(NO3)2(TIBP)2 and UO2(NO3)2(TBP)2 (with TIBP = tri-isobutylphosphate and TBP = tributylphosphate)
TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis and ab initio calculation of the EXAFS and XANES spectra corresponding to the model compound UO2(NO3)2(TIBP)2] (with TIBP = tri-iso-butylphosphate) for which the crystal structure is known.
Journal ArticleDOI
Xas study of actinide solvent extraction compounds. ii: UO2(NO3)2(L)2 (with L=tri-isobutylphosphate, tri-n-butylphosphate, trimethylphosphate and triphenylphosphate)
TL;DR: In this paper, the coordination polyhedra of a series of uranyl complexes with selected organophosphorus extracting molecules were investigated using X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and the results showed subtle U O(P) bond distance differences between the different complexes that are discussed in terms of both electronic and steric effects of L.
Journal ArticleDOI
X-ray absorption spectroscopy of organouranium compounds in the (+v) and (+iv) oxidation states
C. Den Auwer,Charles Madic,Jean-Claude Berthet,Michel Ephritikhine,John J. Rehr,R. Guillaumont +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an updated version of ab initio code FEFF, FEFF7.0 has been tested at the L3 edge of uranium in order to extract reliable phases and amplitudes.
