Oxidation of α,β-enones and alkenes with oxone and sodium halides: A convenient laboratory preparation of chlorine and bromine

TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of oxone and sodium chloride or sodium bromide can be used to add chlorine and bromine to α, β-enones and alkenes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Control of chemo- and stereoselectivity in the reactions of organocuprates with .alpha.-oxoketene dithioacetals

TL;DR: Les α-oxocetene dithioacetals subissent une substitution selective par les reactifs organo-Cu-Li pour conduire a des β-alkylthio α-β-enones as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reactivity and Enantioselectivity in the Reactions of Scalemic Stereogenic α-(N-Carbamoyl)alkylcuprates

TL;DR: Stereogenic 2-(N-carbamoyl)pyrrolidinylcuprates prepared from scalemic N-Boc-2-lithiopyrrolidine and THF soluble CuCN react with vinyl iodides, vinyl triflates, beta-iodo-alpha,beta-enoates, propargyl mesylates, and allyl bromide to afford the substitution products with excellent enantioselectivity.
