NIR persistent luminescence of lanthanide ion-doped rare-earth oxycarbonates: the effect of dopants.

TL;DR: A series of luminescent rare-earth ion-doped hexagonal II-type Gd oxycarbonate phosphors Gd2-xRExO2CO3 (RE = Eu(3+), Yb(3)+), Dy(3+) have been successfully synthesized by thermal decomposition of the corresponding mixed oxalates.
Journal ArticleDOI

High temperature structural study of Gd-doped ceria by synchrotron X-ray diffraction (673 K ≤ T ≤ 1073 K).

TL;DR: The crystallographic features of Gd-doped ceria were investigated at the operating temperature of solid oxides fuel cells, where these materials are used as solid electrolytes, and the trend of the cell parameter shows the presence of a maximum; with increasing temperature, the composition corresponding to the maximum moves toward lower Gd content.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, structure and magnetic properties in the Nd2O3–Gd2O3 mixed system synthesized at 1200 °C

TL;DR: In this article, phase relation studies in the Gd 2 O 3 -Nd O 3 system have been performed on (Gd 1− x Nd x ) 2O 3 samples (0⩽ x ⩽1) with the purpose of performing a systematic study of the composition effects on their structural and magnetic properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterisation of superconducting RuSr2GdCu2O8

TL;DR: In this article, the structural, electrical and magnetic properties of RuSr2GdCu2O8 samples made by systematic synthesis work so that they differ from one another in number of annealings and sintering temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stability field and structural properties of intra-rare earth perovskites

TL;DR: In this paper, a stability study of perovskitic LaREO3 oxides as a function of temperature was performed, and a correlation between the Goldschmidt t value and the pervskitic stability field amplitude was found: the latter widens as t increases.
