Extraction studies of cobalt (II) and nickel (II) from chloride solutions using Na-Cyanex 272.: Separation of Co(II)/Ni(II) by the sodium salts of D2EHPA, PC88A and Cyanex 272 and their mixtures
TL;DR: In this paper, a study of solvent extraction of cobalt and nickel from 1 M chloride solutions using the sodium salt of Cyanex 272 as extractant diluted with kerosene with tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) employed as a phase modifier was carried out.
Journal ArticleDOI
Leaching of manganese nodules in ammoniacal medium using glucose as reductant
TL;DR: In this paper, the Indian Ocean nodules can be leached in ammoniacal solution in the presence of glucose and various parameters chosen for leaching studies were: amount of glucose, time, pH, temperature, concentrations of ammonium and ammonium salt, and particle size.
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal/recovery of hydrochloric acid using Alamine 336, Aliquat 336, TBP and Cyanex 923
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used Kerosene as the diluent for solvent extraction of hydrochloric acid from solutions containing 18542g/L acid using Alamine 336, Aliquat 336, TBP and Cyanex 923 as extractants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemical precipitation of nickel hydroxide
TL;DR: In this article, the electrochemical precipitation of nickel hydroxide is examined by varying nickel and nitrate ion concentration, pH, current density, and temperature, and particle size, crystallographic orientation and morphological patterns are studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Leaching of manganese nodules at elevated temperature and pressure in the presence of oxygen
TL;DR: In this article, Indian Ocean polymetallic nodules were leached with dilute sulphuric acid at elevated temperature and pressure in the presence of oxygen, and conditions were established for treating the nodules for the extraction of three metals, i.e. copper, nickel, cobalt and manganese.
