The trust and reputation in cloud computing are always made only if enough services and expectations are attained. Also, it is a rental for the exploitation of information technology assets and resources. Therefore, this paper evaluates the reputation values and identifies the trusted services in the Cloud environments. The reputation value is evaluated using three parameters including accessibility, dependability, and ability. Also, we propose a method for the trusted service using three topological metrics, including in-degree, out-degree and reputation measures. The proposed method has been evaluated in different challenging situations where the obtained results show that the accuracy of the proposed method using the advice of the trusted service providers is increased.

Trusted services identification in the cloud environment using the topological metrics

The Cloud computing paradigm provides numerous attractive services to customers such as the provision of the on-demand self-service, usage-based pricing, ubiquitous network access, transference of risk, and location independent resource sharing. However, the security of cloud computing, especially its data privacy, is a highly challengeable task. To address the data privacy issues, several mechanisms have been proposed that use the third party auditor (TPA) to ensure the integrity of outsourced data for the satisfaction of cloud users (CUs). However, the role of the TPA could be the potential security threat itself and can create new security vulnerabilities for the customer's data. Moreover, the cloud service providers (CSPs) and the CUs could also be the adversaries while deteriorating the stored private data. As a result, the objective of this research is twofold. Our first research goal is to analyze the data privacy-preserving issues by identifying unique privacy requirements and presenting a supportable solution that eliminates the possible threats towards data privacy. Our second research goal is to develop the privacy-preserving model (PPM) to audit all the stakeholders in order to provide a relatively secure cloud computing environment. Specifically, the proposed model ensures the quality of service (QoS) of cloud services and detects potential malicious insiders in CSPs and TPAs. Furthermore, our proposed model provides a methodology to audit a TPA for minimizing any potential insider threats. In addition, CUs can use the proposed model to periodically audit the CSPs using the TPA to ensure the integrity of the outsourced data. For demonstrating and validating the performance, the proposed PPM is programmed in C++ and tested on GreenCloud with NS2 by applying merging processes. The experimental results help to identify the effectiveness, operational efficiency, and reliability of the CSPs. In addition, the results demonstrate the successful rate of handling the negative role of the TPA and determining the TPA's malicious insider detection capabilities.

Privacy preserving model: a new scheme for auditing cloud stakeholders

This paper explains the feasibility of blockchain technology in food organization. The technology of BCT helps the organizations to achieve integrity among peer-to-peer nodes, such as maintaining proof of work, reducing intermediaries, traceability, etc. It can be applied in the BCT at different levels of supply chain management processes. This empirical study was conducted with the help of the primary data. The data was collected from food industry managers who have knowledge about the BCT in the process of supply chain management. The questionnaire was prepared based on the different supply chain activities like procurement, pre-processing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, retailing, processing, and marketing activities. Based on the literature and data analysis, the BCT had the greatest advantages including cost reduction, traceability, time-saving, immutability, authentication, and proof of work. The major weaknesses are associated with present employees having a lack of knowledge, limited scalability, complexity in usage, and high initial cost. Blockchain Technology in the Food Supply Chain: Empirical Analysis

Mobile device and its applications have revolutionized the way we store and share data. It is becoming a warehouse of users personal information. Unluckily, most of these data are stored in an unencrypted format, prone to security threats. In this paper, we propose a lightweight, computationally efficient protocol, called CLOAK , for the mobile device. CLOAK is based on stream cipher and takes the help of an external server for the generation and distribution of cryptographically secure pseudo-random number (CSPRN). In order to enhance the security of our protocol, we use the concept of symmetric key cryptography. We present three versions of the protocol referred as s-CLOAK , r-CLOAK and d-CLOAK , varying on the basis of the key selection procedure. In CLOAK, the core encryption/decryption operation is performed within the mobile devices to secure data at its origin. The security of CSPRN is ensured using deception method. In CLOAK, all messages are exchanged securely between mobile and the server with mutual identity verification. We evaluate CLOAK on Android smart phones and use Amazon Web services for generating CSPRN. Additionally, we present attack analysis and show that the brute force attack is computationally infeasible for the proposed protocol.

CLOAK: A Stream Cipher Based Encryption Protocol for Mobile Cloud Computing

In intelligent agriculture circumstances, to control the progress and to attain better yield in harvests are the primary focuses of this research work. The objective is to present new methodologies for the smart agricultural system, for monitoring and tracking, manufacturing of crops, import and export process, sales details, etc. By implementing the IoT-based smart sensors for the crop management, one can efficiently conquer the impulse of difficult and changing climate, the geographical disability, natural calamity, plagues and ailments about the crop. This research work proposes a cloud platform for smart agriculture data with wireless sensor network based on IOT. In cloud, intelligent production information is stored securely and made open for the authorized users.

Cloud Computing is the recent trend in IT industry that changes the way the business is done by delivering computing as a service on demand to the user by pay per use model. Major advantages such as reduced cost, flexibility ensure cloud computing to be much sorted technology in the computing industry. Cloud computing moves the data to the large data centers which is not trustworthy as there is chance for the cloud service provider to misuse the data without the knowledge of the users. We introduce a novel model which reduces the fear of loss of data confidentiality in the cloud service provider side. This model has third party security vendor which takes care of encryption and decryption of the data based on the preference of the user. So data can reside safely on the cloud service provider side.

Cloud Computing becomes the next generation architecture of IT Enterprise. In contrast to traditional solutions, Cloud computing moves the application software and databases to the large data centers, where the management of the data and services may not be fully trustworthy. This unique feature, however, raises many new security challenges which have not been well understood. In cloud computing, both data and software are fully not contained on the user's computer; Data Security concerns arising because both user data and program are residing in Provider Premises. Clouds typically have single security architecture but have many customers with different demands. Every cloud provider solves this problem by encrypting the data by using encryption algorithms. But there are also chances that the cloud service is not trust worthy, to overcome this problem. This paper introduces a new model called V-GRT methodology which overcomes the basic problem of cloud computing data security. We present the data security model of cloud computing with security vendor that eliminates the fear of misuse of data by the cloud service provider thereby improving data security.
