A deliberate falsehood intentionally fabricated to appear as the truth, or often called as hoax (hocus to trick) has been increasing at an alarming rate. This situation may cause restlessness/anxiety and panic in society. Even though hoaxes have no effect on threats, however, new perceptions can be spread that they can affect both the social and political conditions. Imagery blown from hoaxes can bring negative effects and intervene state policies that may decrease the economy. An early detection on hoaxes helps the Government to reduce and even eliminate the spread. There are some system that filter hoaxes based on title and also from voting processes from searching processes in a search engine. This research develops Indonesian hoax filter based on text vector representation based on Term Frequency and Document Frequency as well as classification techniques. There are several classification techniques and for this research, Support Vector Machine and Stochastic Gradient Descent are chosen. Support Vector Machine divides a word vector using linear function and Stochastic Gradient Descent divides a word vector using nonlinear function. SVM and SGD are chosen because the characteristic of text classification includes multidimensional matrixes. Each word in news articles can be modeled as feature and with Linear SVC and SGD, the feature of word vector can be reduced into two dimensions and can be separated using linear and non-linear lines. The highest accuracy obtained from SGD classifier using modifled-huber is 86% over 100 hoax and 100 nonhoax websites which are randomly chosen outside dataset which are used in the training process.

Hoax detection system on Indonesian news sites based on text classification using SVM and SGD

Texture is one of the most important features for image analysis, which provides informations such as the composition of texture on the surface structure, changes of the intensity, or brightness. Gray level co-occurence matrix (GLCM) is a method that can be used for statistical texture analysis. GLCM has proven to be the most powerful texture descriptors used in image analysis. This study uses the four-way GLCM 0 o , 45 o , 90 o , and 135 o . Support vector machine (SVM) is a machine learning that can be used for image classification. SVM has a high generalization capability without any requirement of additional knowledge, even with the high dimension of the input space. The data used in this study are the image of goat meat, buffalo meat, horse meat, and beef with shooting distance 20 cm, 30 cm and 40 cm. The result of this study shows that the best recognition rate of 87.5% was taken at a distance of 20 cm with neighboring pixels distance d = 2 in the direction GLCM 135 o .

During this time, computer cursor operation was done by pressing and moving the mouse. So, this is less flexible for computer user that require movement in operating a computer, since to use mouse comfortably someone has to sit. Moreover, physical completeness is required for mouse operating, so that for someone who has physical disabilities feels difficult to operate it. Therefore, it is required to develop a system that provides a better comfort and flexibility not only for the healthy user computer but also for the user computer who has physical disabilities. In this final project, computer cursor operation program via voice is created. With this program, someone will have more flexibility when operating the computer cursor and also people with physical disabilities is enabled to communicate with computer. Voice recognition is a technology that is apllied in this program, with the feature extraction process used MFCC (Mel-Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients) method. As for the recognitions process used artificial neural network type LVQ (Learning Vector Quantization). Voice is passed through a microphone and then it is analyzed by MFCC to produce MFCC coefficients. These coefficients are used as input vector for LVQ neural network and used as data to train the network until it has the classification capability. Programming language that is used in creating this software is Delphi programming language. Based on the result of the testing program, it is found that the success percentage rate of voice recognition with training data, that is data which is derived from databases that have been recorded and trained into the program which amounts to 240 data, is 88,89 %. While in the testing with test data, that is data which is derived from the real time sayings of respondents which is amounts to 240 data, it is found that the success percentage rate of voice recognition is 83,99 %. Water became one of the staples in the community who are taking a very important role in life. Dependence of human life should not need to denied of water presence. Many activities of human dependent of water such as drinking, washing, bathing etc. In the city, PDAM as a service business into regional water supply solution to deliver water in the houses. Currently, the use of an analog water meter is ineffective for the custumer to be able to monitor the use of water consumption and bill to be paid. Not only that, sometimes the quality of water delivered by the service is not good, it can be seen during the rainy season, which causes the water to become turbid. Today’s technology much shift something analog to digital which is better appearence and easier operation. Thus in this study designed a digital monitoring system using based on microcontroller ATMega 328 by measuring the water discharge from the tube’s connection. For measuring the water usage using the water flow sensor that uses the principle of the hall effect. At the same tool can detect water turbidity problems using photodiode sensor which have working principle by intensity of light received from sample reservoir. The output of this system contains information on water discharge, volume of water in cubic meter also is added to the unit of price. Result of testing the accuracy sensor water flow reached 98,8 % while sensor photodiode had scale measurement water turbidity reacehed 0 - 173 NTU.

MySQL is the most trusted and depended-on open source database platform in use today. Many of the most popular and highly-trafficked websites in the world are built on MySQL because of its ubiquity across heterogeneous platforms and application stacks and for its well-known performance, reliability and ease of use. Research, publications and community service is one activity that is managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service. The process of managing these activities today cannot be separated from the Internet, therefore we need a system that can manage every activity. To obtain the proper management it needs a system that is supported by the database system is also good. This paper discusses how to conduct the process of optimizing the database system so that when the data is accessed does not affect the performance of server systems. Process optimization is done on the design of the database system. Database design plays an important role in determining system performance. Process optimization is done in this study by using one of the functions that have been given in MySQL by using VIEW. This virtual table process to be performed by the system to be faster. This is because during the system requests to the server is does not need to query over and over because it has been done in the database management system.
