Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, characterisation and reactions of bis[2-(dimethylaminomethyl)-phenyl] diselenide: its structure and that of [2-(dimethylaminomethyl)phenyl]-selenium bromide

TL;DR: The diselenide (RSe)2 and its bromo derivative RSeBr were determined by X-ray crystallography as discussed by the authors, and the compounds were characterised by elemental analyses, mass, multinuclear NMR (1H, 13C, 77Se), IR, Fourier transform-Raman spectrometry and conductance measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Monomeric Selenolato Complexes of Zinc, Cadmium, and Mercury.

TL;DR: The synthesis and characterization of homoleptic zinc, cadmium(II), and mercury(II) selenolates incorporating the intramolecularly chelating oxazoline ligand are described and crystal structure of Zn[Se(Ox)](2) (1) shows that the complex is "helically" chiral and enantiomerically pure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, structure and reactions of the first tellurium-containing macrocyclic Schiff base

TL;DR: The condensation of bis(2-formylphenyl) telluride 1 with ethane-1,2-diamine yielded the novel macrocyclic tellurium ligand 2 via metal-free dimerisation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Reactivity of Chiral Tellurium Azomethines: Pseudopolymorphism of [o-((((1S,2R)-2-Hydroxy-2-phenyl-1-methylethyl)amino)methinyl)phenyl]tellurium(IV) Bromide

TL;DR: A range of chiral tellurium compounds having an azomethine functional group in the position ortho to telluria have been synthesized by the reaction of aldehydes bis(o-formylphenyl) telluride and o-(butyltelluro)benzaldehyde.
Journal ArticleDOI

Syntheses, characterization and molecular structures of monomeric selenolato complexes of mercury with nitrogen-containing chelating ligands

TL;DR: In this paper, a divalent mercury selenolates of the empirical formula Hg(SeR)2[R = 2-Me2NCH2C6H41, (S)-2-Me 2NCHMeC 6H42, (R,S)-(C5H5)Fe(2-me2NCLMeC 5H3)3 and (S,R)-(c5H6H3),Fe( 2-me 2NClMeC5h3)4] have been synthesized in high
