Mechanical responses of closely spaced large span triple tunnels

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors presented a case study of closely spaced triple tunnels with large sections in Beijing, China, where the mechanical responses of three cross-sections were systematically monitored and analyzed, including the surrounding rock pressure, the internal stress in steel frame and shotcrete, the axial force in pillar-reinforcing bolts, the crown settlement, and the horizontal convergence.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geotechnical monitoring and safety assessment of large-span triple tunnels using drilling and blasting method

TL;DR: In this paper, the structural responses (including the surrounding rock pressure, normal contact pressure between the primary and secondary linings, internal forces in the secondary lining) and the seismic responses were systematically recorded.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined Application of Pipe Roof Pre-SUPPORT and Curtain Grouting Pre-Reinforcement in Closely Spaced Large Span Triple Tunnels

TL;DR: In this paper, pipe roof pre-support (PRPS) and curtain grouting pre-reinforcement (CGPR) were used as the pre-construction techniques for the Badaling Great Wall Underground Station.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical modelling and field monitoring study on large-span tunnelling using pretensioned bolt–cable combined support system

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors focused on a new support method, a pretensioned bolt-cable combined support system, for large-span tunnelling, and analyzed the mechanical characteristics of this new support system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dissecting the Robustness of the Rock Mass Classification Methods Used in Jiaozhou Bay Subsea Tunnel

TL;DR: In this article, a group study on the different grading differences among RMC, Q, or BQ was conducted, and the grading differences between any two RMC systems yielded different characteristics when the rock mass score is at different intervals.
