Design aspects of pulsed sieve plate columns

TL;DR: In this paper, the design aspects of pulsed sieve plate columns have been studied and various correlations presented in the past literature for flooding, drop size, hold-up and mass transfer coefficients have been analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design aspects of ejectors: Effects of suction chamber geometry

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the effect of the angle of converging section on the entrainment rate of the secondary fluid in an ejector with a given projection ratio (L TN / D T ).

CFD modeling of sieve and pulsed-sieve plate extraction columns

TL;DR: In this article, a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model for understanding the hydrodynamics in sieve and pulsed-sieve plate extraction columns is presented. And the model is validated by comparing the height of accumulated layer of the dispersed phase under the plate and hold-up of the sieve plates with the corresponding values calculated by the correlations reported by Laddha and Degaleesan.
