Mapping the brain in younger and older asymptomatic HIV-1 men: Frontal volume changes in the absence of other cortical or diffusion tensor abnormalities

TL;DR: The results from this study suggest that HIV-1 disease by itself does not significantly impair cognitive function when patients are otherwise asymptomatic, and frontal grey matter change could represent an important biomarker for trials in HIV disease.

TL;DR: An indirect IFA to detect antibodies against latent nuclear antigens of human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) was used to determine the prevalence of HHV- 8 antibodies in 169 women attending a sexually transmitted diseases clinic and a human immunodeficiency virus clinic at a London hospital.
