Viscous flow computations with the method of lattice Boltzmann equation
TL;DR: In this paper, the lattice Boltzmann equation (LBE) is applied to high Reynolds number incompressible flows, some critical issues need to be addressed, noticeably flexible spatial resolution, boundary treatments for curved solid wall, dispersion and mode of relaxation, and turbulence model.

On boundary conditions in lattice Boltzmann methods
TL;DR: In this paper, a lattice Boltzmann boundary condition for simulation of fluid flow using simple extrapolation is proposed, and numerical simulations are carried out, including two-dimensional Poiseuille flow, unsteady Couette flow, lid driven square cavity flow, and flow over a column of cylinders for a range of Reynolds numbers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vapor bubble departure in forced convection boiling
TL;DR: In this paper, a forced convection boiling facility has been fabricated in which vapor bubble departure can be investigated, and a detailed analysis of various forces acting on the bubble is presented and is used to predict the mean departure diameter.
