Changes in biodiversity of phytoplankton, zooplankton, fishes and macrobenthos in the Southern Caspian Sea after the invasion of the ctenophore Mnemiopsis Leidyi
Aboulghasem Roohi,Ahmet E. Kideys,Ameneh Sajjadi,Abdolla Hashemian,Reza Pourgholam,Hasan Fazli,Ali Ganjian Khanari,Elif Eker-Develi +7 more
TL;DR: Monitoring for 6 years showed that the population explosion of the alien ctenophore Mnemiopsis leidyi in the southern Caspian Sea coincided with a decline in the abundance and species number of mesozooplankton, and some changes in the macrobenthic fauna were also conspicuous after the increase of this ctenophile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biochemical and hemato-immunological parameters in juvenile beluga (Huso huso) following the diet supplemented with nettle (Urtica dioica)
Mohammad Binaii,Maryam Ghiasi,S. M. V. Farabi,Reza Pourgholam,Hasan Fazli,Reza Safari,Seyed Eshagh Alavi,Mohammad Javad Taghavi,Zahra Bankehsaz +8 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that by using this herb there will be an improvement in hemato-biochemical parameters and immune function of juvenile beluga.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hemato - Immunological and biochemical parameters, skin antibacterial activity, and survival in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) following the diet supplemented with Mentha piperita against Yersinia ruckeri.
TL;DR: Dose-dependent increases immune and hematological parameters, skin antibacterial activity and protection against Yersinia ruckeri infection in rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss and several positive effects of dietary administration of MP plant extract to farmed fish are underlying.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dietary peppermint (Mentha piperita) extracts promote growth performance and increase the main humoral immune parameters (both at mucosal and systemic level) of Caspian brown trout (Salmo trutta caspius Kessler, 1877)
TL;DR: Results support that dietary administration of peppermint promotes growth performance and increases the main humoral immune parameters (both at mucosal and systemic level) and the number of the endogenous lactic acid bacteria of Caspian brown trout.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Environmental Effect on Spawning Time, Length at Maturity and Fecundity of Kutum (Rutilus frisii kutum, Kamensky, 1901) in Southern Part of Caspian Sea, Iran
TL;DR: The results showed that the length at first maturity and fecundity of R. f.
