Novel Extraction of Chromatographic Resins Based on Tetraalkyldiglycolamides: Characterization and Potential Applications

TL;DR: In this article, two new extraction chromatographic resins containing the diglycolamide class of molecules have been prepared and characterized, and potential applications identified, and the new resins consist of 40 weight percent N,N,N′N′ tetraoctyldiglycamide (TODGA) and N, n,N',N′ n′ tetrakis−2−ethylhexylhexylcylcoxyldigcylcolamide (TEHDGA) sorbed onto 50-100µm particle size Amberchrom® CG
Journal ArticleDOI

A process for the separation of 177Lu from neutron irradiated 176Yb targets.

TL;DR: A conceptual flowsheet has been developed for the separation of (177)Lu from a 300 mg neutron irradiated (176)Yb enriched target, allowing one to avoid lengthy evaporations and acidity adjustments between successive HEH[EHP] column runs while removing adventitious impurities from the ( 177)Lu.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fundamental investigations of separations science for radioactive materials.

TL;DR: The most important scientific results arising from this research during the past 10 years, a time of great change in the nuclear separations field, and to suggest possible directions for the next stage of research and development in this field are summarized in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aggregation of dialkyl-substituted diphosphonic acids and its effect on metal ion extraction

TL;DR: In this paper, the aggregation of dialkyl-substituted diphosphonic acids in aromatic diluents has been obtained using the complementary techniques of vapor pressure osmometry, small-angle neutron scattering, infrared spectroscopy, and molecular mechanics.

Multivalent metal ion extraction using diglycolamide-coated particles

TL;DR: In this paper, a separation medium, a method for using that separation medium and an apparatus for selectively extracting multivalent cations such as pseudo-lanthanide, prelanthanides, lanthanide or actinide cations from an aqueous acidic sample solution is described.
