Journal ArticleDOI

Segmentation and Classification of Range Images

TL;DR: A procedure to detect connected planar, convex, and concave surfaces of 3-D objects by segments the range image into surface patches by a square error criterion clustering algorithm using surface points and associated surface normals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence-based recognition of 3-D objects

TL;DR: A technique for automatically deriving the evidence rule base from training views of objects is shown to generate evidence conditions that successfully identify new views of those objects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Formation of periodontal tissues around subcutaneously transplanted hamster molars.

TL;DR: Allhealthy specimens recovered after 4weeksinthehost hadorganized periodontium around themselves; this suggests theexistence of anorganizing influence emanating fromthedeveloping root, and theextent of theinfluence was found to be limited to theperiodontal ligament and a relatively thinshell of alveolar bonearound theroots andboneinthespace between theroots.
Journal ArticleDOI

A test of randomness based on the minimal spanning tree

TL;DR: A test of randomness based on the edge length distribution of the Minimal Spanning Tree is presented and it is shown that randomness is higher on the right side of the distribution than the left.
