Journal ArticleDOI
Modulation of long-term potentiation by peripherally administered amphetamine and epinephrine.
TL;DR: Results suggest that the development of this long-lasting electrophysiological change can be regulated by peripheral catecholamine levels in a manner analogous to that seen in behavioral studies of memory.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amphetamine effects on long term potentiation in dentate granule cells
TL;DR: The results indicate that amphetamine can enhance the development of LTP under some but not all testing procedures.
Book ChapterDOI
CHAPTER 4 – ACTH Modulation of Memory Storage Processing

Journal ArticleDOI
Post-training brain catecholamine levels: lack of response to water-motivated training.
TL;DR: There was no evidence that brain NE levels were modified by training, although catecholamine levels increased when the animals were placed in a novel environment.
Book ChapterDOI
Hormonal involvement in footshock-induced changes in catecholamine synthesis in brain slices
TL;DR: The effect on frontal cortex DA was both regionally and catecholamine specific, and dexamethasone pretreatment prevented a significant change in frontal cortex [3H]DA accumulation, but resulted in a footshock-induced increase in [ 3H]NE accumulation in slices of both brain stem and hypothalamus.
