Journal ArticleDOI

Myocardial localization of coronavirus in COVID-19 cardiogenic shock.

TL;DR: This is the first case of acute cardiac injury directly linked to myocardial localization of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) in a 69‐year‐old patient with flu‐like symptoms rapidly degenerating into respiratory distress, hypotension, and cardiogenic shock.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical and Prognostic Relevance of Echocardiographic Evaluation of Right Ventricular Geometry in Patients With Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

TL;DR: In patients with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension, a larger RV diameter is a marker of a poor prognosis but a greater RV wall thickness reduces the risk of death associated with a dilated right ventricle.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inappropriate exercise-induced increase in pulmonary artery pressure in patients with systemic sclerosis

TL;DR: Exercise echocardiography may identify a subset of SS patients with an inappropriate exercise-induced increase in PASP and early signs of right ventricular dysfunction and, most importantly, a blunted increase inright ventricular systolic function with exercise.
