TL;DR: Although no differences could be established in the genetics and ethology of DDT-resistance in Drosophila and houseflies, considerable information was obtained on the variation of some house fly characters, which should be of interest to future investigators of the subject.
Abstract: This paper is one of a series reporting the findings of a research project on the genetics and ethology of DDT-resistance in Drosophila and houseflies conducted at the Department of Entomology of the University of Kansas. The present study concerns five DDT-resistant and four non-resistant strains of the house fly, Musca domestica L. It was undertaken with the aim of finding possible morphological differences correlated with DDT-resistance. Although no such differences could be established, considerable information was obtained on the variation of some house fly characters, which should be of interest to future investigators of the subject.
