TL;DR: In this paper, a high-resolution MRI and histopathological study of the brains of patients who had died from Covid-19 showed punctate hyperintensities and punctate or...
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterisation of interface astroglial scarring in the human brain after blast exposure: a post-mortem case series.
Sharon B. Shively,Sharon B. Shively,Iren Horkayne-Szakaly,Robert V. Jones,James P. Kelly,Regina C. Armstrong,Daniel P. Perl +6 more
TL;DR: The blast exposure cases showed a distinct and previously undescribed pattern of interface astroglial scarring at boundaries between brain parenchyma and fluids, and at junctions between grey and white matter, which may indicate specific areas of damage from blast exposure consistent with the general principles of blast biophysics.
Journal ArticleDOI
White Matter Diseases with Radiologic-Pathologic Correlation.
Nicolae Sarbu,Robert Y. Shih,Robert V. Jones,Iren Horkayne-Szakaly,Laura Oleaga,James G. Smirniotopoulos +5 more
TL;DR: Demyelinating disorders are the object of this review and will be further divided into autoimmune, infectious, vascular, and toxic-metabolic processes, which are crucial for narrowing the differential diagnosis.
