Tidal stripping of stars near supermassive black holes

TL;DR: In this paper, a binary system composed of a supermassive black hole and a star orbiting the hole in an equatorial, circular orbit is considered, where the stellar orbit will shrink due to the action of gravitational radiation, until the star fills its Roche lobe outside the Innermost Stable Circular Orbit of the hole or plunges into the hole.

Polarized muons and the origin of biological homochirality.

TL;DR: In this article, the origin of biological homochirality in the context of astrophysics and particle physics is investigated, and the implications for the search of life in other worlds are discussed.

CLASS B0827+525: `Dark lens' or binary radio-loud quasar?

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented radio, optical, near-infrared and spectroscopic observations of the source B0827+525 and considered this source as the best candidate from the Cosmic Lens All-Sky Survey (CLASS) for a ''dark lens'' system or binary radio-loud quasar.
