Journal ArticleDOI

Limits on the simultaneous correlation of gE and hE data by the NRTL, LEMF and Wilson's equations

TL;DR: In this paper, the LEMF equation was found to be distinctly superior in its ability to predict VLE data from h E data, whereas the NRTL equation was shown to break down to ideal solution models for large intermolecular interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

The prediction of isobaric phase equilibria for non-ideal multicomponent mixtures from heat of mixing data☆

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for predicting isobaric binary and ternary vapor-liquid equilibrium data using only isothermal binary heat of mixing data and pure component vapor pressure data is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

The prediction of isothermal phase equilibria for non-ideal multicomponent mixtures from heats of mixing☆

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for predicting both vapor-liquid and liquid-liquid equilibria for multicomponent mixtures using heat of mixing data for the constituent binary pairs together with pure component vapor pressures was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

The prediction of high temperature vapor—liquid equilbiria from lower temperature heat of mixing data

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for predicting high temperature vapor equilibria using only lower temperature heat of mixing data and pure component vapor pressure data is presented, which consists of evaluating the parameters of the LEMF equation at different temperatures from isothermal heat of the mixing data of the binary pair at the respective temperatures.
