Journal ArticleDOI
Application of cold plasma to develop carboxymethyl cellulose-coated polypropylene films containing essential oil.
Zohreh Honarvar,Mehdi Farhoodi,Mohammad Reza Khani,Abdorreza Mohammadi,Babak Shokri,Ruhollah Ferdowsi,Saeedeh Shojaee-Aliabadi +6 more
TL;DR: Results revealed that antimicrobial PP/CMC films with higher content of ZEO had lower WVP, but was more sensitive to breakage, while film with lower CMC showed lower water vapor permeability and higher tensile strength compared to untreated bilayer films.
Journal ArticleDOI
Contamination and daily intake of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in Iranian bread samples.
Mahdie Kamalabadi,Marzieh Kamankesh,Marzieh Kamankesh,Abdorreza Mohammadi,Zahra Hadian,Ruhollah Ferdowsi +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the concentrations and daily intake of 16 PAHs in 169 traditional (Lavash and Taftoon) and industrial bread (Baguette) samples are determined.
Carboxymethyl Cellulose Film Incorporating Satureja khuzistanica and Zataria multiflora Essential Oils for Extending the Shelf Life of Chicken Legs
Narges Jannatiha,Saeedeh Shojaee-Aliabadi,Maryam Moslehishad,Motahareh Hashemi Moosavi,Masoumeh Moslemi,Nazanin Mosleh,Fatemeh Andacheh,Ruhollah Ferdowsi +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) film containing essential oils (EOs) to extend the shelf life of refrigerated chicken using Zataria multiflora Boiss EO and Satureja khuzistanica jamzad EO.
