Journal ArticleDOI
Early-life vitamin B12 orchestrates lipid peroxidation to ensure reproductive success via SBP-1/SREBP1 in Caenorhabditis elegans.
Shenlu Qin,Yi-Hsing Wang,Lili Li,Junli Liu,Congmei Xiao,Duo Duan,Wanyu Hao,Chunxia Qin,Jie Chen,Luxia Yao,Runshuai Zhang,Jia You,Ju-Sheng Zheng,Enzhi Shen,Lianfeng Wu +14 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors established a Caenorhabditis elegans model to study how early-life B12 impacts adult health and found that B12 deficiency causes increased lipogenesis and lipid peroxidation in adult worms, which in turn induces germline defects through ferroptosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of the alternative splicing variants of bcl6b in medaka Oryzias latipes.
Runshuai Zhang,Xiaomei Ke,Kongyue Wu,Hao Shen,Emile Nibona,Abdullah Al Hafiz,Xiaoting Liang,Weiyuan Ye,Qingchun Zhou,Xueping Zhong,Haobin Zhao +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the homologous gene bcl6b and its 5 alternative splicing variants were isolated from medaka fish, Oryzias latipes, from very early stage, and could be detected clearly in the developing eyes by RT-PCR and in situ hybridization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of mep50 in adult and embryos of medaka fish (Oryzias latipes).
Nana Cheng,Maomao Guo,Pei Chang,Xueyan Zhang,Runshuai Zhang,Chao Qi,Xueping Zhong,Qingchun Zhou,Haobin Zhao +8 more
TL;DR: The results suggested that medaka Mep50 could be a partner of Prmt5 and might play major roles in a variety of tissues in medaka.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bcl6aa and bcl6ab are ubiquitously expressed and are inducible by lipopolysaccharide and polyI:C in adult tissues of medaka Oryzias latipes.
Runshuai Zhang,Kongyue Wu,Xiaomei Ke,Xueyan Zhang,Gongyu Xu,Hao Shen,Emile Nibona,Abdullah Al Hafiz,Xiaoting Liang,Zequn Wang,Chao Qi,Qingchun Zhou,Xueping Zhong,Haobin Zhao +13 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that both Bcl6aa and bcl6ab may be involved in immune response in medaka and originate maternally in the zygotes and may play major roles in embryogenesis of medaka.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification, characterization, expression profiles of OlHavcr2 in medaka (Oryzias latipes).
Emile Nibona,Gongyu Xu,Kongyue Wu,Hao Shen,Runshuai Zhang,Xiaomei Ke,Abdullah Al Hafiz,Zequn Wang,Chao Qi,Haobin Zhao +9 more
TL;DR: Results indicated that OlHavcr2 is expressed ubiquitously in adult tissues, and is a zygotic gene expressed from gastrula onwards in embryogenesis, and may play a significant role in the blood system of medaka.
