TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a modified triangular method to estimate the total methane emission for a particular landfill site, using default methodology and modified triangular methodology. But the modified triangular approach has an upper hand as it provides a time-dependent emission profile that reflects the true pattern of the degradation process.

TL;DR: A case study of cost-benefit analysis of landfill system with gas recovery option has been carried out for Port Blair City, Andaman Islands, India as mentioned in this paper, where a saving of about Rs 0.09 billion per annum with reference to existing system of MSW disposal is evaluated.
