River flow conditions and dynamic state analysis of pahang river
Muhamad Barzani Gasim,Mohd Ekhwan Toriman,Mushrifah Idris,Pan Ian Lun,Mohd Khairul Amri Kamarudin,A. A. Nor Azlina,Mazlin Mokhtar,S A Sharifah Mastura +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the hydrodynamic study of Pahang River should be well understood especially when it is a target of northeast monsoon which influenced t he Pohang River Basin every year (from November to March).
Journal ArticleDOI
Use of 137Cs activity to investigate sediment movement and transport modeling in river coastal environment
Mohd Ekhwan Toriman,Muhamad Barzani Gasim,Zulkifli Yusop,Ismail Shahid,S A Sharifah Mastura,Pauzi Abdullah,Mokhtar Jaafar,Nor Azlina Abdul Aziz,Mohd Khairul Amri Kamarudin,Othman Jaafar,Othman A. Karim,Hafizan Juahir,Nor Rohaizah Jamil +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the sediment transport and mobility of the Kemaman River estuary, Terengganu Malaysia, was investigated, and it was demonstrated that anthropogenic activities within a watershed, such as agriculture and urbanization affected the sediment yield from the watershed.
Water Resources Study and Modeling at North Kedah: A Case of Kubang Pasu and Padang Terap Water Supply Schemes
Mohd Ekhwan Toriman,Mazlin Mokhtar,Muhamad Barzani Gasim,S A Sharifah Mastura,Syed Abdullah,Osman Jaafar,Nor Azlina Abd Aziz +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the research carried out in Kubang Pasu and Padang Terap regions with the aim to obtain the clear information on the potential water resource availability.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of methane generation rate and potential from selected landfills in malaysia
Mohammed F.M. Abushammala,Noor Ezlin Ahmad Basri,Abdul Amir H. Kadhum,Hassan Basri,Ahmed El-Shafie,S A Sharifah Mastura +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change 1996 first order decay (FOD) model to obtain methane generation rate and potential values at Malaysian landfills.
Journal ArticleDOI
Paddy production and climate change variation in Selangor, Malaysia
Mohd Ekhwan Toriman,Ah Choy Er,Q. Y. Lee,S A Sharifah Mastura,Fuad Mat Jali,Mazlin Mokhtar,Rahmah Elfithri,Mohammad Barzani Gasim,Zulkifli Yusop,Norazlina Abdul Aziz,Habibah Ahmah,Hamzah Jusoh +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the relative importance of climate influences on the paddy production rate over 28 years (1980-2008) and found that for precipitation, rainfall is redundant during the main season while during the off season it bears direct effect on the production yield with R2 value of -0.293 and 0.1715, respectively.
