Journal ArticleDOI
Immunohistochemical distribution of cannabinoid CB1 receptors in the rat central nervous system.
TL;DR: The results generally agree well with the previous studies using CB1 receptor autoradiography and messenger RNA in situ hybridization, but because of its greater resolution, immunohistochemistry allowed identification of particular neuronal cells and fibers that possess cannabinoid receptors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Internalization and Recycling of the CB1 Cannabinoid Receptor
TL;DR: It is found that CB1 receptors are rapidly internalized following agonist binding and receptor activation, and this results show thatCB1 receptor trafficking is dynamically regulated by cannabimimetic drugs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protein Kinase C Disrupts Cannabinoid Actions by Phosphorylation of the CB1 Cannabinoid Receptor
TL;DR: It is found that phosphorylation of a G-protein-coupled receptor by protein kinase C (PKC) disrupts modulation of ion channels by the receptor, and PKC can disrupt ion channel modulation by receptor phosphorylated.
