Di n-octyl phosphinic acid as a selective extractant for metallic cations: Selected M(III) and M(VI) tracer studies

TL;DR: In this article, the hydrogen ion dependencies and extractant dependencies of an M(VI) element, UO 2 2+, into a benzene solution of di n-octyl phosphinic acid, (n -C 8 H 17 ) 2 PO(OH), H[DOP, from an aqueous acidic chloride medium have been determined radiometrically.
Journal ArticleDOI

Extraction of metallic cations by mono-acidic orthophosphate esters in a monomerizing diluent

TL;DR: In this paper, the extraction of M2+ and M3+ from an aqueous HCl phase into an extractant phase consisting of a monoacidic orthophosphate ester in n-decyl alcohol as diluent has been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sterically hindered solvent extractants—III: The molecular and crystal structure and heavy-element extraction properties of the di-t-pentylphosphinic acid dimer☆

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown by single-crystal X-ray diffraction data that di-t-pentylphosphinic acid, [C(CH3)3]2(CH2CH3)]2PO(OH), H[Dt-PeP], was the only phosphinic acid known to be dimeric in the solid state.
