Journal ArticleDOI

Hybrid Quantum Oscillations in a Surface Space-Charge Layer

TL;DR: In this paper, the transconductance of an accumulation layer on $n$-type InAs was studied in a magnetic field parallel to the layer, and structures were observed, nonperiodic in the magnetic field, corresponding to mixed electric and magnetic subbands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of subband populations in tipped magnetic fields

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied tipped-field quantum oscillations in an accumulation layer on n-InAs where as many as four subbands can be populated and observed departures from 2D behavior are in qualitative accord with the Stern Howard picture.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quasiparticle magnetospectroscopy and penetration-depth anisotropy in superconducting aluminum

TL;DR: The overall anisotropy in lambda at T = 0 is found to be about 10%, with values in the range 460--510 A, compared with that predicted by simple tensor analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quasiparticle Magnetospectroscopy in Superconductors: A Detailed Look at the Shape of the Penetration Layer

TL;DR: In this article, magnetoabsorption peaks in single-crystal superconducting Al have been identified by comparison with a detailed calculation of quasiparticle energy levels, which correspond to resonant transitions between states bound in the magnetic-field penetration layer as predicted by Pincus.
