Preconcentration of cobalt(II) using polythionine-coated Fe3O4 nanocomposite prior its determination by AAS

TL;DR: In this paper, a magnetic nanocomposite (mag-NC) was obtained by oxidative polymerization of thionine in the presence of Fe3O4 nanoparticles, which represents a useful sorbent for magnetic solid phase extraction of cobalt(II) at trace levels from water and foodstuff samples prior to its determination by FAAS.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel nanomagnetic task specific ionic liquid as a selective sorbent for the trace determination of cadmium in water and fruit samples.

TL;DR: The proposed method was successfully applied for the trace determination of cadmium ions in fruit (apple, orange and banana) and water samples and confirmed the good performance of the method in real sample analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Removal of Lead(II), Copper(II) and Zinc(II) Ions from Aqueous Solutions Using Magnetic Amine-Functionalized Mesoporous Silica Nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this article, a batch adsorption study was conducted to investigate the removal efficiency of lead, copper and zinc ions from aqueous solutions, and the removal efficiencies were higher than 98% under optimized experimental conditions.
