Journal Article

MR and proton spectroscopy of white matter disease induced by high-dose chemotherapy with bone marrow transplant in advanced breast carcinoma

TL;DR: Extensive, late-stage white matter change induced by high-dose chemotherapy is not accompanied by measurable disturbances in the putative neuronal marker N-acetyl aspartate, suggesting that chemotherapy-induced white matter disease is predominantly a water space and possibly an extraneuronal process rather than a primary neuronal (axonal) disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemotherapy-Induced Ovarian Failure as a Prototype for Acute Vascular Toxicity

TL;DR: A mechanism of chemotherapy-induced ovarian toxicity manifested by decreased ovarian blood flow accompanied by a reduction in ovarian size and diminished post-treatment AMH levels may imply a generalized phenomenon of end-organ toxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bisphosphonates in the adjuvant setting of breast cancer therapy--effect on survival: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

TL;DR: A meta-analysis of all randomized controlled trials that appraised the effects of BP in early BC indicates a positive effect for adjuvant BP on survival only in postmenopausal patients, and meta-regression demonstrated a negative association between chemotherapy use BP effect on survival.
