The main cause of power quality troubles are failure supply &#x0026; load unbalances. The power quality problems related to voltage point of common coupling and voltage deformation, voltage flicker, voltage unbalance, voltage sag and voltage expansion. Power quality problems in 3-phase 4-wire power distribution systems are failure of capacitor banks, noise, vibrations, and induction motors. This article describes how to use DSTATCOM to improve power quality in 3-phase 4-wire power distribution systems. An instantaneous reactive power theory-based PI controller is implemented in this manuscript for power quality enhancement. The main objectives of this paper are to maintain IEEE 519 standard, eliminate voltage-related power quality problems and reduce harmonics in the three-phase distribution supply.

The proposed topology offers a higher boosting capability with fewer numbers of components and less voltage stress on switches. The viability of the proposed converter is evaluated through the simulations carried out using Matlab/Simulink software package.

This paper presents the performance comparison of Enhance Boost quasi Z Source Inverter (EB-qZSI) with linear and non-linear loads. EB-qZSI has a characteristic of inverting a very low input DC voltage to the high output AC voltage. The boost inversion ability of this inverter enhances with maximum boost control. The system generates three phase ac voltage (415 Vrms) at output with 220 V dc Photovoltaic input. The Resistive, inductive and diode bridge rectifier are connected as a load for the comparison. Analysis and calculations for EB-qZSI has been performed and verified with the simulation results.
