Does Financial Liberalization spur Tunisian Banking Industry Efficiency

TL;DR: In this paper, the technical efficiency of the Tunisian banking system in pre, during and post-financial liberalization, starting in the early 1980s, was examined and a nonparametric method of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been used to arrive at the efficiency scores for a panel data sample covering 9 Tunisian commercial banks and the commercial banks of 10 OECD countries, over the period 1980 to 2001.
