Integration of IF Amplifiers with NbTiN SHEB Mixers

TL;DR: For the 1.4 THz and 1.9 THz channels of the GREAT instrument for SOFIA, waveguide mixers with NbTiN superconducting Hot Electron Bolometer devices on low stress silicon nitride membranes are developed to prevent interactions between the 1–2 GHz amplifier and the mixer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deep Synoptic Array Science: Two Fast Radio Burst Sources in Massive Galaxy Clusters

TL;DR: In this article , the authors reported the discovery of two fast radio bursts (FRBs) whose host galaxies belong to massive galaxy clusters, and combined their FRB data with archival X-ray, Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (SZ), and optical observations of these clusters in order to infer properties of the ICM.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Millimeter-wave Array Receivers for Remote Sensing

TL;DR: Several ground-based demonstrations of millimeter-wave receiver technology including development of integrated spectral line receivers for atmospheric remote sensing, a synthetic thinned aperture radiometer for atmospheric sounding and imaging and polarimetric array radiometers for astrophysics applications are described.
