Journal ArticleDOI

GAP-43 closely interacts with BDNF in hippocampal neurons and is associated with Alzheimer's disease progression

TL;DR: In this article , the impact of the direct molecular interaction between GAP-43 and BDNF in hippocampal neuron fate was investigated, and it was shown that GAP43 is directly associated with pathological molecules for AD (Tau and Aβ).
Journal ArticleDOI

The Role of Zinc in Axon Formation via the mTORC1 Pathway

TL;DR: A promising role is identified in controlling axonogenesis in the developing brain, which, in turn, may indicate a novel structural role of zinc in the cytoskeleton and developing neurons.
