This study develops a research framework to study the impact of green supply chains with three dimensions, namely green purchasing, green manufacturing, and green marketing to achieve competitive advantage with the existence of organizational ambidexterity as a mediating variable in Jordanian industrial companies. The study targeted the most important Jordanian industrial companies, which included 46 industrial companies out of 66 companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. The researchers personally administered 181 questionnaires, responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the appropriate statistical methods were chosen to test the hypotheses of the study and reach its results. The findings indicate that all elements of green supply chain management, namely green purchasing, green manufacturing, and green marketing had a significant impact on competitive advantage. Also, green manufacturing and green marketing had a significant effect on organizational ambidexterity, but there was no significant impact for green purchasing on organizational ambidexterity, finally, the results of the study showed that organizational ambidexterity plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between green manufacturing, green marketing, and competitive advantage.

Green supply chain management and competitive advantage: The mediating role of organizational ambidexterity

Adopting the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model, this study aims at investigating the impact of big data (volume, velocity, variety, veracity, and value) on supply chain performance through the mediating role of supply chain management (plan, source, make, deliver, and return) assuming four hypotheses. Data were collected using a questionnaire from managers of food processing companies. The results showed that big data affected supply chain management significantly and positively, which in turn affected supply chain performance significantly and positively. In addition, big data exerted a significant and positive impact on supply chain performance. Based on these links, it was found that supply chain management mediated significantly the effect of big data on supply chain performance. The study contributes to the literature showing that big data plays a pivotal role in improving supply chain performance and supply chain performance from the SCOR model perspective is critical for the relationship between these two constructs.

The mediating role of supply chain management on the relationship between big data and supply chain performance using SCOR model

The aim of this research is to examine the impact of supply chain management through social media on competitiveness of the private hospitals in Jordan. The population of the study includes managers in various administrative disciplines. Therefore, the complete census method was used in this research to collect the primary data, where the total responses were 438 responses were used for analysis. The questionnaire was used as a basic instrument in the current research, as it was designed electronically through Google Forms and sent to the research sample via email. AMOS software was used to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that all dimensions of supply chain management through social media had a positive impact on competitiveness; the greatest effect was for strategic relations with suppliers. Based on the study results; managers at the examined companies should enhance their usage of social media with suppliers, according to the report, in order to support strategic connections with them.

The effect of supply chain management through social media on competitiveness of the private hospitals in Jordan

This research aims at exploring barriers of adopting Industry 4.0 in manufacturing supply chains. Data were collected based on a review of extant literature on barriers Industry 4.0 adoption, individual interviews with a panel consisted of academic and industry experts. Following numerous previous studies, interpretive structural modeling (ISM) and matrix multiplication applied to classification (MICMAC) analysis were conducted to order 10 barriers based on their importance and impacts. The results excluded one barrier “cyber security challenges”, categorized another one as a dependent barrier “lack of digital strategy”, and eight barriers as linkage barriers “lack of infrastructure”, “personnel resistance to adopt new technologies”, “high investment requirements”, “data management and quality challenges”, “uncertainty of economic benefits”, “low maturity level of technology”, “lack of adequate skills”, and “job disruptions”. Henceforward, it was concluded that mitigating these eight barriers is very critical to ensure a successful adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in supply chains. Further studies are required to categorize these eight barriers based on their importance and relationships.

Barriers to adopt industry 4.0 in supply chains using interpretive structural modeling

Purpose”: This main aim of this study is to find out the effects of Facebook ads on Jordanian consumers’ purchase intentions in the restaurant industry. “Design/methodology/approach”: The design of this research takes a descriptive quantitative approach; a sample of 202 participants answered an online questionnaire, the collected data were analysed by Standardized “Multiple Linear Regression” and “Stepwise Multiple Linear Regression “. “Findings”: The study concluded that restaurants’ Facebook advertising dimensions (Informativeness, Entertainment, Perceived Relevance, Incentive) affect Jordanian consumers’ purchase intention, incentive was the most influential dimension, followed by Perceived relevance, while informativeness and entertainment, was not statistically significant. “Research limitations/implications”: Only Facebook advertising was considered, whereas future studies could examine other SNS such as YouTube, Google+, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Moreover, it is suggested to lengthen the study time later and have a more representative sample to get more generalizable results.

Restaurants Facebook Advertising and Consumers Purchase Intention

The objective of this study was to see how artificial intelligence applications affected organizational innovation in Jordanian commercial banks. Both independent and dependent variables were measured in three dimensions: expert systems, neural network systems, and fuzzy logic systems for artificial intelligence applications variable. Product innovation, process innovation, and management innovation for the organizational innovation variable. To achieve study objectives, a questionnaire was developed and distributed to a sample of one hundred fifty-three managers in Jordanian commercial banks, who were selected according to the simple random sampling method. Except for the neural network systems dimension, which comes in at an average level, the study indicated that there is a high level of organizational innovation and artificial intelligence applications. Furthermore, the findings revealed that artificial intelligence applications have a significant impact on organizational innovation in Jordanian commercial banks, with the most important artificial intelligence application being a fuzzy logic system. The study suggested keeping track of technological advancements in the field of artificial intelligence applications and incorporating them into banking operations by benchmarking with the best commercial bank practices and allocating a portion of the budget to technological applications and infrastructure development, as well as balancing between technology use and information security risks to ensure client privacy is protected.
