Journal ArticleDOI

The use of optimally shaped piezo-electric film sensors in the active control of free field structural radiation, Part 2: Feedback Control

TL;DR: In this article, a feedback control of free field structural radiation is considered and two experimental implementations of feedback control strategies using shaped piezoelectric polymer film sensors to measure the transformed system states are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Neural Network for Feedforward Controlled Smart Structures

TL;DR: In this article, a neural network and adaptive algorithm for non-linear feedforward control systems with smart structures to actively control sound and vibration is presented. But this algorithm accommodates the transfer function and time delay between the control signal output and error signal input, and is shown in simulation to be capable of sup pressing a primary distrubance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modification to Overall System Response When Using Narrowband Adaptive Feedforward Control Systems

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the influence of a narrowband adaptive feed-forward controller, operating in the presence of unreferenced random noise, has upon the frequency response characteristics of the controlled system away from the controller referenced frequency band.
