Journal ArticleDOI

N,N,N′,N′‐Tetraoctyl Diglycolamide (TODGA): A Promising Extractant for Actinide‐Partitioning from High‐Level Waste (HLW)

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated TODGA as an extractant for the partitioning of minor actinides from simulated high level nuclear waste solutions and found that TODGA molecules display a tendency toward aggregation in n−dodecane at lower acidities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aqueous Partitioning of Minor Actinides by Different Processes

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a strategy for effective mitigation of the long-term hazards associated with high-level waste (HLW) by actinide partitioning, where substituted malonamide extractants such as DMDBTDMA and DMDOHEMA have emerged as viable green alternatives to phosphine oxides.
Journal ArticleDOI

A review on solid phase extraction of actinides and lanthanides with amide based extractants.

TL;DR: Though the literature survey reveals an enormous volume of studies on the extraction chromatographic separation of actinides and lanthanides using several extractants, the focus of the present article is limited to the work carried out with amide based ligands, viz. monoamides, diamides and diglycolamides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Counter-current extraction of uranium and lanthanides from simulated high-level waste using N,N,N′,N′-tetraoctyl diglycolamide

TL;DR: In this article, a mixture of N,N,N′, N′-tetraoctyl diglycolamide (TODGA) and N, N-dihexyl octanamide (DHOA) dissolved in NPH has been evaluated for actinide partitioning from simulated high-level waste by cold tests in mixer-settler runs.
