Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular movements inside [1+1] asymmetric compartmental macrocycles: Formation of positional mononuclear and hetero-dinuclear lanthanide(III) isomers and related homo-dinuclear complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, the site occupancy of different lanthanide(III) ions and the physico-chemical properties arising from the different dinuclear aggregation and/or from the variation of the crown-ether shape have been investigated by IR and NMR spectroscopy, MS spectrometry and SEM-EDS microscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation and properties of mono, homo- and heterobinuclear complexes with a new heptadentate Schiff base ligand

TL;DR: In this paper, a new heptadentate Schiff base, containing an inner N 3 O 2 and an outer O 2 O 2 site, was obtained by the reaction of 3-formylsalicylic acid and diethylenetriamine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation, properties, crystal and molecular structure of uranyl(VI) complexes with a new cyclic schiff base compartmental ligand

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure of the uranyl(VI) complex with the ligand 1,7,15,21-tetra-aza-4,18-dithia-11,25-dichloro 8,22-bis- meta diphenyl cyclophane-gb-7,14,21,28 has been determined by X-ray crystallography.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal complexes containing ‘inorganic (carbon-free) chelate rings.’ Reactivity of the [ReO]3+ core toward bis(diphenyl-phosphino)amine derivatives. Crystal structures of [ReOCl2{N(XPPh2)2}(PPh3)](X = O or S) and [ReO(OEt)-{N(SPPh2)2}2]

TL;DR: In this article, the structures of complexes 1,2 and 3b were determined by X-ray crystallography and the structure was refined to R= 0.038, based on 5955 observed reflections.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation, properties and X-ray structure of a cyclic compartmental Schiff base and related complexes containing d- or f-metal ions

TL;DR: In this article, a new compartmental ligand (H 2 L A ) containing an N 2 O 2 Schiff base and an O 2 O 4 ''crown like'' coordination site was prepared by reaction of 3,3′-(3,6-dioxaoctane-1,8-diyldioxy)bis(2-hydroxybenzaldehyde) with ethylenediamine and the [1+1] cyclic nature was confirmed by its X-ray single crystal structural determination.
