Journal ArticleDOI
Autoantibodies against phospholipase A2 receptor in Korean patients with membranous nephropathy.
TL;DR: It is observed that anti-PLA2R antibodies are highly prevalent in Korean patients with idiopathic MN and that they reflect the clinical disease activity before the administration of immunosuppressive treatment, but the levels of anti- PLA2R antibody at the time of kidney biopsy may not predict the clinical outcomes in current clinical practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
The polymorphism of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 is associated with the renal disease of SLE
Hyun Lee Kim,Dong-Sup Lee,Seung Hee Yang,Chun Soo Lim,Jong Hoon Chung,Suhnggwon Kim,Jung Sang Lee,Yon Su Kim +7 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that a genetic polymorphism in the 5' flanking region of the MCP-1 gene would be associated with nephritis in lupus through modulating M CP-1 expression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sulfatide-Reactive Natural Killer T Cells Abrogate Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury
Seung Hee Yang,Jung Pyo Lee,Hye Ryoun Jang,Ran Hui Cha,Seung Seok Han,Un Sil Jeon,Dong Ki Kim,Junghan Song,Dong-Sup Lee,Yon Su Kim +9 more
TL;DR: Sulfatide-reactive type II N KT cells are renoprotective in IRI, suggesting that pharmacologic modulation of NKT cells may protect against ischemic injury.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gingerenone A, a polyphenol present in ginger, suppresses obesity and adipose tissue inflammation in high-fat diet-fed mice
Sujin Suk,Gyoo Taik Kwon,Eun-Jung Lee,Woo Jung Jang,Hee Yang,Jong Hun Kim,N. R. Thimmegowda,Min-Yu Chung,Jung Yeon Kwon,Seung Hee Yang,Jason K. Kim,Jason K. Kim,Jung Han Yoon Park,Jung Han Yoon Park,Ki Won Lee +14 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that gingerenone A may be used as a potential therapeutic candidate for the treatment of obesity and its complications by suppressing adipose expansion and inflammation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bone marrow-derived endothelial progenitor cells confer renal protection in a murine chronic renal failure model
Odongua Sangidorj,Seung Hee Yang,Hye Ryoun Jang,Jung Pyo Lee,Ran Hui Cha,Sun Moon Kim,Chun Soo Lim,Chun Soo Lim,Yon Su Kim,Yon Su Kim +9 more
TL;DR: EPCs trafficked into the injured kidney protected the kidney from the inflammatory condition and consequently resulted in functional and structural renal preservation, suggesting EPCs as a potential candidate for a novel therapeutic approach in CRF.
