During the two consecutive summer seasons of 2015 and 2016 at Faculty of Agric.; Damietta University, Damietta Governorate, Egypt, two pot experiments were conducted to examine the effect of phosphorus fertilization, organic fertilization and inoculation with Azotobacter as well as their interactions on nutrient uptake and yield of soybean plants (Glycine max L.). The experiment was performed using split-split plot design with 18 treatments in three replicates, three treatments of organic manure in form of chicken manure (without, 8 and 12 ton.fed-1) as the main plot, three rates of phosphorus fertilization (0, 36 and 54 kgp 2o5.fed-1) as subplot and all treatments were studied twice; once in the presence of Azotobacter strains inoculants and the other without it as sub-sub plot. Individual organic manure increased N, P and K uptake by the plant, yield and its component (100-seed, g/plant, seed yield, g/plant, pod length, cm and pods weight, g/plant) and chemical composition of seed (N, P, K, protein and total carbohydrates%). Obtained results declare that phosphorus fertilizer treatments at 54 kg P2O5.fed-1 recorded the highest values of the mentioned parameters. Bio-fertilizers increased the traits especially in presence of Azotobacter comparing with the un-inoculated plant. So, the interaction between 12 ton.fed-1 chicken manure and 54 kg.fed-1 P2O5 in presence of Azotobacter was the best treatment to achieve the highest values of parameters under investigation during two seasons.

Effect of Bio-Fertilizer, Organic and Mineral Fertilizaters on Soybean Yield and Nutrients Uptake under Sandy Soil Conditions

RESPONSE OF THREE VARIETIES OF BROAD BEAN (Vicia faba L.) TO NP MINERAL FERTILIZER

Poor soil fertility is among the major factors that limit faba bean production in Wolaita Zone in southern Ethiopia. Therefore, a field experiment was conducted in the Kokate Marachare subdistrict of Sodo Zuria District of the zone during the 2019 and 2020 cropping seasons to determine the response of faba bean to different rates of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilizers under lime-treated soil conditions by using Tumsa faba bean variety. The treatments consisted of three rates of nitrogen fertilizer (0, 23, and 46 kg N ha−1), three rates of phosphorus fertilizer (0, 46, and 92 kg P2O5 ha−1), and three rates of potassium fertilizer (0, 30, and 60 kg K2O ha−1) that were laid out as RCBD and replicated three times per treatment. The results indicated that the N, P, and K fertilizer combination at 23:92:60 kg ha−1 increased plant height, the number of branches per plant, and stem girth by 18%, 62.6%, and 55.6%, respectively, compared with the control treatment. A significantly high aboveground dry biomass (11.8 t ha−1), number of pods per plant (17 pods), number of seeds per pod (4 pods), stover yield (6.83 t ha−1), and hundred seed weight (88 g) were obtained from the N, P, and K fertilizer combination at 23:92:60 kg ha–1. The highest grain yield (4.97 t ha−1) was obtained from the N, P, and K combination at 23:92:60 kg ha−1, which was 360% higher than the yield obtained from the control treatment. Moreover, the highest mean net benefit (USD 4,109.33 ha−1) with an acceptable marginal rate of return of 1,340% was obtained from the N, P, and K fertilizer combination at 23 kg N, 92 kg P2O5, and 60 kg K2O ha–1, respectively. Thus, these rates are suggested for faba bean production in the acidic soils of the Wolaita Zone.

Effect of traditional and nano phosphorous fertilization and soil moisture content on the growth and yield of two wheat cultivars, triticum aestivum l. in calcareous soil from nineveh governorate

This experiment carried out at vegetables field of Horticulture and landscape department. College of Agriculture and Forestry. University of Mosul during the spring season (2018). The experiment included two factors. First was two hybrids of summer squash (MARVEL F1) and (ISMALIA F1), the second factor was included the seaweed extract (Acadian) at three concentrations of (0 , 2 and 4 gm.L -1 ). thus the experiment included 6 treatments (2 × 3). The experiment carried out in the field using split-plots system in R.C.B.D design the hybrids placed in the main plots while the sub plots included Acadian extract levels each treatment repeated three times. Analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple range test at 0.05 were applied for all recorded data. The results could be summarized as follows: Marvel and Ismailia hybrid plants did not differ in all studied flowering growth characteristics (appearance date of the first male and female flower (day) on the plant, number of male and female flowers (flower.plant -1 ), sexual ratio, set ratio of female flowers). The Acadian extract factor in both hybrids used showed it as the important and influencing factor in some studied traits, as its use led to significant results in some traits of flowering growth, and the treatments of Acadian extract at 2 and 4 g. L -1 concentration did not differed between them significantly in most of the effects.
