Ameliorative Role of Cerium Oxide Nanoparticles Against Fipronil Impact on Brain Function, Oxidative Stress, and Apoptotic Cascades in Albino Rats.
Norhan Elshony,Atef M. K. Nassar,Yasser S. El-Sayed,Dalia H. Samak,Ahmed E. Noreldin,Lamiaa Wasef,Hamida Saleh,Yaser Hosny Ali Elewa,Yaser Hosny Ali Elewa,Shereen E. Tawfeek,Shereen E. Tawfeek,Abdullah A. Saati,Gaber El-Saber Batiha,Michał Tomczyk,Masakazu Umezawa,Hazem M. Shaheen +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the neuroprotective effects of cerium oxide nanoparticles (CeNPs) on neuronal dysfunction induced by FIP in albino rats were investigated, which revealed oxidative damage to brain tissues in FIP-treated rats indicated by the elevated levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) and nitric oxide (NO) levels and reduced activities of antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx).
Journal ArticleDOI
Metanil yellow promotes oxidative stress, astrogliosis, and apoptosis in the cerebellar cortex of adult male rat with possible protective effect of scutellarin: A histological and immunohistochemical study.
Shereen E. Tawfeek,Amany Mohamed Shalaby,Mohamed Ali Alabiad,Al-Amari Ali Almbruk Albackoosh,Khalid Mohammed Mohammed Albakoush,Mahmoud Mohamad Ahmad Omira +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of chronic administration of metanil yellow on the cerebellar cortex of rats and to evaluate the protective effect of scutellarin was studied. But the results showed that the effect was limited.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of The Effect of Curcumin on Oxidative Stress, Local Inflammatory Response, COX-2 Expression, and Microvessel Density in Trichinella Spiralis Induced Enteritis, Myositis and Myocarditis in Mice
A.M. Hamed,Iman R. Abdel-Shafi,Mae Elsayed,Amal M. Mahfoz,Shereen E. Tawfeek,Magda Said A. Abdeltawab +5 more
TL;DR: The anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-angiogenic effects of curcumin can help to improve trichinellosis-induced pathology and can also produce promising results when used alone at higher doses.
Journal ArticleDOI
The neuroprotective effect of ginsenoside Rb1 on the cerebral cortex changes induced by aluminium chloride in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease: A histological, immunohistochemical, and biochemical study
Amany Mohamed Shalaby,Sulaiman Alnasser,Dina Ahmed Khairy,Mohamed Ali Alabiad,Mohammed Alorini,Fatima A Jaber,Shereen E. Tawfeek +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors evaluated the neuroprotective effects of ginsenoside Rb1 on the cerebral cortex of AlCl3-induced AD in adult male albino mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Non-Traumatic Lateral Hip Pain: MRI Findings
Nourelhuda A. Mohammed,Shereen E. Tawfeek,Hadeel A. Elsherbini,Sherif A. Abo-Hedibah,Walaa A. Gouda,Sameh Abdelaziz Aly +5 more
TL;DR: MRI is a valuable method to identify the structural diagnoses accompanying lateral hip pain and cases were diagnosed as transient migratory osteoporosis.
