Journal ArticleDOI
Development and Validation of a Heart Atlas to Study Cardiac Exposure to Radiation Following Treatment for Breast Cancer
Mary Feng,Jean M. Moran,Todd M. Koelling,Aamer Chughtai,June L. Chan,Laura Freedman,James A. Hayman,Reshma Jagsi,Shruti Jolly,Janice Larouere,Julie Soriano,Robin B. Marsh,Lori J. Pierce +12 more
TL;DR: This validated University of Michigan cardiac atlas may serve as a useful tool in future studies assessing cardiac toxicity and in clinical trials which include dose volume constraints to the heart.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gender Differences in Time Spent on Parenting and Domestic Responsibilities by High-Achieving Young Physician-Researchers
Shruti Jolly,Kent A. Griffith,Rochelle DeCastro,Abigail J. Stewart,Peter A. Ubel,Reshma Jagsi +5 more
TL;DR: Whether gender differences exist in time allocation within a population in which differences may not be expected and, if present, would lend insights about the causes of gender differences in domestic labor more generally and relevant information for policy development specifically within the medical profession is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cardiac events after radiation therapy: Combined analysis of prospective multicenter trials for locally advanced non-small-cell lung cancer
Robert T. Dess,Yilun Sun,Martha M. Matuszak,G. Sun,Payal D. Soni,Latifa Bazzi,Venkatesh L. Murthy,Jason W.D. Hearn,Feng Ming Kong,Gregory P. Kalemkerian,James A. Hayman,Randall K. Ten Haken,Theodore S. Lawrence,Matthew J. Schipper,Shruti Jolly +14 more
TL;DR: The 24-month cumulative incidence of grade ≥ 3 cardiac events exceeded 10% among patients with locally advanced NSCLC treated with definitive radiation, and pre-existing cardiac disease and higher mean heart dose were significantly associated with higher cardiac event rates.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adjuvant therapies and patient and tumor characteristics associated with survival of adult patients with adrenocortical carcinoma.
TL;DR: This study increases the evidence for adverse risk factors (cortisol production, high tumor stage, and high tumor grade) and suggests the following therapy approach: adrenocortical carcinoma patients should be treated with open adrenalectomy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Developing and Validating a Survival Prediction Model for NSCLC Patients Through Distributed Learning Across 3 Countries
Arthur Jochems,Timo M. Deist,Issam El Naqa,Marc L. Kessler,Chuck Mayo,Jackson Reeves,Shruti Jolly,Martha M. Matuszak,Randall K. Ten Haken,Johan van Soest,Cary Oberije,Corinne Faivre-Finn,Gareth J Price,Dirk De Ruysscher,Philippe Lambin,Andre Dekker +15 more
TL;DR: A predictive model of survival at 2 years based on a large volume of historical patient data serves as a proof of concept to demonstrate the distributed learning approach and believes that distributed learning is the future of sharing data in health care.
