Journal ArticleDOI

A modal analysis of vibration response of a cracked fluid-filled cylindrical shell

TL;DR: In this article, the high-order partial differential equation (PDE) of thin cylindrical shells is derived from the Flugge shell theory, and the vibration response of the cylinear shell system is obtained by the wave propagation method.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of relative humidity and ground material on indoor walking-induced particle resuspension.

TL;DR: Compared with low-level loop pile carpet and shaggy carpet, hardwood floor was more conductive to human health which was less likely to cause the resuspension of the particulate matters, and relative humidity had a great influence on the res suspension of fine particulates matters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simulation of Particle Resuspension Caused by Footsteps

TL;DR: In this article, a footstep motion model was developed to explore the cause of particle resuspension by footsteps, and the transient calculation method was used to simulate the ressuspension of particles around footsteps, where particles are tracked by Discrete Random Walk (DRW) model based on Lagrange method.
