Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of surface modification of fumed silica on interfacial structures and mechanical properties of poly(vinyl chloride) composites

TL;DR: In this article, the dispersion and interfacial compatibility of nano-SiO 2 particles in PVC matrix was characterized by SEM, which indicated that DDS had a better dispersion, compatibility and robustness than UTS but worse than KHS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interfacial structures and mechanical properties of PVC composites reinforced by CaCO3 with different particle sizes and surface treatments

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of particle size and surface treatment of CaCO3 particles on the microstructure and mechanical properties of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) composites filled with Ca CO3 particles via a melt blending method were studied by SEM, an AG-2000 universal material testing machine and an XJU-2.75 Izod impact strength machine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Surface Structure of Nano-CaCO3 Particles on Mechanical and Rheological Properties of PVC Composites

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of different surface structures on resultant mechanical and rheological properties, nano-CaCO3 particles were treated with isopropyl tri-stearyl titanate (H928), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) matrix, and polypropyl tri-(dodecylbenz-enesulfonyl)-titanate (JN198), while H928 treated nano-CCO3 had the weakest interfacial interaction with a PVC matrix.

High calcium carbonate filled herd polyvinyl chloride material

TL;DR: In this paper, a hard polyvinyl chloride material filled by more calcium carbonate is prepared from nano (or micron)-class calcium carbonates as filler, with a combination of thermal stabilizer, lubricant, impact modifier, and titanium oxide powder through fusing, mixing and extruding out.

Polyvinyl chloride/organized inorganic nano-composite material

TL;DR: In this paper, a polyvinyl chloride-nano-material composition with high mechanical performance is prepared from polyvinel resin, in-situ polymerized resin, nanoparticles, stabilizer, machining modifier, impact modifier and lubricant through fusing and mixing.
