TL;DR: The revised version of the FJM can offer the highest throughput among the well known industrial or open source JMS implementations and can be used in many innovative or mission critical cluster applications, such as massively multiplayer virtual worlds or military simulator.
Abstract: In this paper, we presented an IP-multicast-based Java message service implementation called FJM (fast Java messaging) library. We discussed its architecture, protocols, and implementation issues. For achieving better performance, we revised the original design of the FJM. The details of the refinement were also described in this paper. Then, we compared the performance of both versions of the FJM with the performance of other JMS implementations. After our careful design and tuning, in most cases, the revised version of the FJM can offer the highest throughput among the well known industrial or open source JMS implementations. Therefore, FJM can be used in many innovative or mission critical cluster applications, such as massively multiplayer virtual worlds or military simulator.

TL;DR: This paper designs an infrastructure to provide the integration platform for iCell that provides flexible and useful mechanism to archive business operation and is light-weigh architecture and can be adopt into existed enterprise environment easy.
Abstract: An enterprise cooperative environment is combination of emerging technologies and methodologies on which both enterprise employee and customers can perform necessary business activities. A business activity will involve many systems of an enterprise. Integration between those systems becomes a critical issue because inter-/intra- enterprises will have heterogeneous systems. Recently, many new technologies boost the evolution of the integration toward a more efficient and effective computing. Enterprise has to choose suitable technology as integration platform to make value. However, only a few enterprises can really utilize those technologies because they do not have a proper infrastructure. Those technologies lose their advantages. In this paper, we design an infrastructure to provide the integration platform. It is iCell that provides flexible and useful mechanism to archive business operation. It is light-weigh architecture and can be adopt into existed enterprise environment easy. Based on the mechanism, the integration becomes possible and constructing enterprise cooperative becomes easy.

TL;DR: Through applying these techniques, this framework may make applications device-independent, and design two methods, Static-time Component Generation and Runtime XUL Transformation for transforming efficiently and flexibility.
Abstract: We propose an XML-based Context-Aware transformation Framework (X-CAF). In X-CAF, we design three main techniques - (1) an XML-based programming model to program applications, (2) a user interface adaptation mechanism to adjust UIs of applications, and (3) a transformation scheme to transform programs adapt to various MExE environments. Moreover, we design two methods, Static-time Component Generation and Runtime XUL Transformation for transforming efficiently and flexibility. Through applying these techniques, this framework may make applications device-independent.

TL;DR: This work not only reviews relevant linguistic literature but also re-examine relevant issues from a new statistical and corpus point of view, and discovers more comprehensive and precise question-related words than before.
Abstract: Detecting Mandarin question sentences is both interesting and difficult. To tackle this new topic, our strategy is first to try to increase recall and then precision. To achieve higher recall, we not only review relevant linguistic literature but also re-examine relevant issues from a new statistical and corpus point of view, and discover more comprehensive and precise question-related words than before. Next we present our statistical approaches and procedure, and discuss our findings. We achieve good recall and modest precision in the preliminary study, and pioneer the computational study of indefinitives.

TL;DR: SDRsim is a prototyping platform, which provides modularity and requires minimal implementation effort to accommodate the SDR device, and is able to demonstrate the practical use of software prototyping in reducing the complexity of product analysis and design.
Abstract: A PC-based tool for simulation and rapid control prototyping of software defined radio (SDR) technology is presented. The tool describes a software platform implemented to facilitate the SDR software architecture at the analysis, design and implementation stages. SDRsim is a prototyping platform, which provides modularity and requires minimal implementation effort to accommodate the SDR device. It is able to demonstrate the practical use of software prototyping in reducing the complexity of product analysis and design. This simulator provides the flexibility to modify and analyze the impact of various architecture parameters and components as well as enable more detailed statistics collection than real SDR device.

TL;DR: A unified, adjustable, and extractable Biological Data Mining-Broker mechanism based on XML methodology, the mechanism provides a federated forum model to overcome the heterogeneities of both form and meaning from those different diverse biological data sources.
Abstract: The document formats of biological data sources typically are more versatile and more complicated than the traditional data sources. It is hard to efficiently retrieve useful information from biological data sources by traditional information retrieval technologies. In this paper, we propose a unified, adjustable, and extractable Biological Data Mining-Broker mechanism. Based on XML methodology, the mechanism provides a federated forum model to overcome the heterogeneities of both form and meaning from those different diverse biological data sources. Furthermore, the mechanism also utilizes the feedback-based direct raw and meaningful extracted cache technique to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the system. The experimental results show that our proposed system has good performance, and it is a good choice for biological data mining process with multiple heterogeneous data sources, different mining applications, and knowledge analysts. It is highly useful for target discovery and bioinformatics research projects.
