The invention provides a reversible cultural relic protection material with an effect of inhibiting growth of bacteria and mould. The reversible cultural relic protection material is selected from atleast one of linalool, camphene, pinene, camphor, borneol, thymol, coumarin, ethyl maltol, cyclododecane, a compound which is solid at ambient temperature and contains a p-methyl isopropyl cyclohexanestructure, and solid cycloalkane. The reversible cultural relic protection material provided by the invention is simple in preparation and use method, has good antibacterial efficiency, and can playa role in temporarily fixing cultural relics.
